I feel so distant from Him and I feel as though He is distant from me. I need Him more than ever right now. How inadequate I am!

Salaams Anony,
No, Allah never abandons you. Sometimes He tests us by ‘withdrawing’. Other times (more common in my limited experience), we withdraw from Him through sin.
Call on Him and you will find Him near to you.
May Allah help you, guide you and draw you close to Him
Ma’as salama,
Abdur Rahman

Here is a hadith to give you comfort , dear Anony:
‘The Messenger of God heard a man supplicating ‘O God, I suplicate
You bearing witness that You are indeed God, that there is no diety
but You, the One, the Self-sustaining; who does not beget nor was
begotten; who has no equal.’ Upon which, the Prophet said, ‘ By the
One in whose hand is my soul, he has supplicated God by His supreme
name. When God is called upon by it, He answers; When asked for
something through it, He gives.’
Allah never abandons or forgets His children. It is they, who in despair or doubt keep looking for signs, when indeed the signs are all around them, “on the horizens, and in themselves.”
May Allah comfort your heart in this time of contraction, and make ready for you a banquet of love in the time of expansion.
Ya Haqq!

Allah never abandons HIs creation. But He puts us through trials, which usually get harder with each one, in order to purify us and draw us nearer to Him. He wants you to draw near, and He wants you to be patient even if it doesn’t appear that He is near. Know that God is always near, and always watching no matter how you feel.

Just hang in there sidi. it’s all from the Accursed’s trickery. You may want to ponder The Notes again. It is however beneficial when you feel like this to be in touch with the other brethrens of the tariq. The latifiyya comes to mind.
Love is not an easy matter, sidi.
Please make du`a for me too.

I said,
“O sweet Beloved,
you are the refuge of my soul.”
He said, “If you belong to me,
don’t talk of your own soul.”
I said, “Why do you cut me
with your sharp words?”
He said, “My words wouldn’t hurt you,
if you weren’t in love with yourself.”
Rumi.
Sometimes, what may seem to be a distance, may be a way for us to become close..

Thank You, I will explain briefly-
In Lebanon the Sufi brotherhood is in its early days. You see Lebanese muslims believe deeply that anything other than that which they know is crazy. They still follow many Ignorant understandings that the more responsible Sufi -sticated muslims buried in the sand many years ago. So this my brother is the great challenge we face and thus our neutral view of hezbollah. Yes, we want peace but if its going to be a peace based on the deeper bigot mentality of sectarian Islam then maybe the option of living under a more tolerant and accepting peace of the Israeli jewish state may be a worthy alternative. Its unclear at this time, but the large backing of our awliya’ in Iran makes our position one of deep cultural importance in the exporting of Shi’ite muslims perceptions of religion- we are indeed joint at the hip. Much is yet to develop but by the amount of women sending us e mails shows our brand of deliverence of a product unrivalled in the Islamic world,we need not mention the west as muslims in those places need no challenge, they will eventually disolve. So Lebanons women and young are the main focal point of success,as for the rest,we really dont want the views they have among us- to them we are crazy, like when in 1985 the shabab known as Hezbollah were considered crazy also by thes same fools for the high plans they had in mind.
So this to our Lebanese fathers who think we are crazy-
” the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The trouble-makers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules, and they have no respect for the status-quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify, or vilify them. But the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do- and we know that every individual who comes across one of them is left with a deep imprint on the heart that will never go- we are the closest thing to love that your daughters will ever know.” –

Its my pleasure ill give you a poem of our love.
This is to the one I will love for ever-
You with the dark burly hair and the breathtaking eyes,
your inquiring glance that leaves me undone.
Eyes that pierce and then withdraw like a blood-stained sword,
eyes with dagger lashes!
Zealots, you are mistaken – this is heaven.
Never mind those making promises of the afterlife:
join us now, righteous friends, in this intoxication.
Never mind the path to the Kaabah: sanctity resides in the heart.
Squander your life, suffer! God is right here.
Oh excruciating face! Continual light!
This is where I am thrilled, here, right here.
There is no book anywhere on the matter.
Only as soon as I see you do I understand.
If you wish to offer your beauty to God, give Solomon
a taste. Awaiting the tiniest morsel, right here.
